A Dallas native, Dottie Corder has called Rockwall home since 2005 with her husband George. The family friendly country feel of the area has been the backdrop for countless memories as they raised their three children and now enjoy time with their grandchildren. Dottie is a member of the Rockwall Chamber of Commerce, Royse City Chamber of Commerce, supports Children’s Advocacy Center and Boys and Girls Club. George and Dottie are involved at Cornerstone Community Church and enjoy, singing together, playing golf, and family activities. Dottie is thankful for the opportunity to be a positive influence with children, hoping that as they grow, they’ll be able to look back on wonderful experiences they encountered at Young Chefs Academy where they learned the Joy and Value of Cooking.

Founder and CEO, Julie Burleson, established Young Chefs® Academy in 2003 with the vision of cultivating/serving children’s strong interest in the culinary arts. It has grown with locations throughout the US to be a welcoming environment that provides a “real” setting so that the students can take what they learn at YCA™ to their own homes.
